Executive Director, Dorsay
Dujon: Living Art Los Angeles was founded in 2008 by Dorsay Dujon.
The organization was the natural progression of promoting the "Kites Over
Silver Lake" Fathers Day Kite Festival and Concert as well as summer "Concerts
in the Park." Ms. Dujon created both events while Chair of the Arts
and Culture committee of the Silver Lake Neighborhood Council.
Ms. Dujon has over 30 years
of experience in the trade show, entertainment, publishing and special
event industries. Ms. Dujon's long history of public service has
encompassed being on the boards of several organizations, the Black Public
Relations Society, St. Basils Clinic in Chicago, Hands Across Watts, Silver
Lake Improvement Association. LA City Department of Recreation and Parks,
Park Advisory Board. Ms. Dujon is a member of The SupportMusic Coalition
of NAMM the International Music Products Association.
President, Robert Herzog:
Bob's
vast experience as an advertising executive is an asset to our board.
He is the co-chair of the Silver Lake Neighborhood Council’s History Collective.
Bob has a desire to preserve for eternity the lives of neighborhood residents
through his work on the History Collective.
Vice President, Alberto
Hernandez: Alberto is a world renown artist who has exhibited
in Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Mexico City and cities throughout the United
States. He is a master gardener and green advocate.
Alberto is one of the founders of Green Artist's International, creating
art from found objects and recycled materials. Alberto uses
his artistic talents to teach others. Alberto lives for passion in
his life, sharing his gardens and art work with a culturally diverse community.
He lives in an artist colony in Silver Lake.
Secretary, Ron Wachter:
Ron, a retired teacher, worked for the Los Angeles Unified School
District thirty-six years. His career included primarily Industrial
arts, art and ceramics. During that time he worked, mostly
with middle school students, in Hollywood, West Los Angeles, East Los Angeles,
San Pedro and South-Central Los Angeles. He comes to us with
a diverse knowledge of a variety of cultures found throughout our fine
city.
Treasurer, Irvin Wallace:
Irvin
acquired his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Brooklyn College in New York with
an emphasis in theater. He spent thirty-five years in the motion
picture industry. During that time he worked as an assistant
director working on films with illustrious filmmakers such as Frank Capra,
Stanley Kramer and Alan Pakula. He has had, from childhood,
a life long interest in literature, music and the performing arts.
He is currently working on his second novel.
