El Dia de los Muertos (The Day of the
Dead) focuses on bringing the family and friends together to honor those
who have died. This "celebration" occurs on November 1st and 2nd.
The 1st in remembrance of children and the 2nd for adults. The Day
of the Dead is celebrated in Mexico and Hispanic communities in all
parts of the world. However, just about every culture has a ritual
for celebrating life and death. We invite "everyone" in Los Angeles
to join together on this special day.

celebration of the New Year through the arts. It is a major visual
and performing arts festival created by and for the community to welcome
the New Year. It is a public celebration that revives the ancient
traditions of marking the passage of time with art, ritual and festivity
in a present day context.
