Good  - Welcome to
Living Art Los Angeles
"Leading the Cultural Renaissance"

Welcome to Living Art Los Angeles.

The summer has officially begun and school will soon be out.  A perfect time for “Kid’s Fly LA.” The 4th Annual Kid’s Fly LA is a free community event for all ages and every member of the family including the dog. A casual fun afternoon outdoors flying kites.

California State Parks and Living Art Los Angeles have joined together to present Kid's Fly LA - a Father's Day Children's Kite Festival.

The mission of Living Art Los Angeles is to bring art and music to families.  The emphasis is on giving children the opportunity to experience live music and dance performances as well as participating in hands on art projects.

A very special guest kite maker Basir Beria will bring some of his famous kites to exhibit and to demonstrate.  Mr. Baria is well known for the kites he made for the film “The Kite Runner.”

We are proud to present live in concert the Michael Jackson Tribute Band “MOONWALKER.” MOONWALKER first performed for us last September for “Concerts in the Park” at Bellevue Recreation Center in Silver Lake.  The show was so successful we have invited then back.

The group is made up of award winning vocalist Trace Devai and his band of highly skilled musicians and technicians. MOONWALKER honors and respectfully reproduces the musical artistry of Michael Jackson.  Trace’s professional career began at the age of 10 with a Linda Carter television special.  In high school Trace and Lenny Kravits formed a band called WAVE.  Trace’s dance ability led to meeting (Michael Jackson’s artistic director) Kenny Ortega. Trace was immediately cast in music videos including Cher and Sheena Easton.

In addition the Tierra Blanca Dance Company is returning to perform for us.  The Dance Company founded in 1996 by Blanca Soto will present a program of traditional dances in honor of Father’s Day. The Tierra Blanca dancers promote Mexican culture and traditions through music, dance and regional folklore.  The young and beautifully costumed dancers have delighted audiences all over the world.  Blanca believes that by giving children positive options for their future they will become productive members of society.

All during the day Roy Johns will engage and delight all ages with his clever and hands on Juggle Tree. Once you get started you won’t want to stop.

Reno Goodall is a wildly infectious comedy/magician that will have you wondering, “how did he do that?” and laughing at his funny jokes.

Food vendors will provide sweet treats, fast food, drinks and ice cream.

Sounds like a great day of fun for every member of the family.  We look forward to seeing you at Los Angeles State Historic Park on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 20th, 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Show Times:
1:00 PM  Reno Goodall
2:00 PM   Tierra Blanca Dance Center Dancers
3:00 PM   MOONWALKER
